Get inspired with Anya and learn all about the process of creating images from concept to finished artwork and how to capture whimsical and surrealistic portraits. Anya will show you how she developed her signature style and will break down her process. She will share her insight on how to be more creative, how to get inspired and come up with ideas, how to create concepts and tell a story through your art, and how to efficiently do the research and find references. She will show how she does location scouting, searches and builds the props, prepares the shooting set, and works with models and light. Anya will talk about composition, color theory and different shooting techniques. You will have an opportunity to make some beautiful shots yourself and create some magic! You will learn about the impact of post-production and retouching in fine art photography. Anya will show you her editing process and how to take your photos to the next level with postproduction. You will learn about RAW file processing in Lightroom and retouching and compositing in Photoshop.

From this workshop, you'll walk away learning Anya's approach to creating conceptual and fine art photography and how Anya plans and executes a photo shoot, how installations and Photoshop manipulation help her to embody her fantasies into a finished piece of art and to make her vision a reality. You will have the opportunity to create and replenish your own portfolio with magical images.

COURSE DETAILS

This one-day intensive workshop in a small-group setting offers a hands-on learning experience in fine art conceptual and creative photography. The workshop will teach you the skills to create beautiful imagery, get inspired, and bring your creativity to the next level.  

The day begins with a presentation where Anya will talk about inspiration, how to find ideas and develop concepts, how to use storytelling tools to create conceptual work, and how to prepare for the photoshoot and do the scouting. During this workshop, you will learn how to think outside of the box and boost your creativity. Then it will be followed by a hands-on interactive shooting part with a setup and a live model where Anya will show her approach to photography, and talk about composition and different shooting techniques. You will have the opportunity to shoot alongside Anya, take your own images, and apply the concepts learned throughout the course. Anya will be happy to guide you and answer any questions you may have. You will leave that day with not only newly acquired techniques but also creative new images for your portfolio. Then Anya will share her editing workflow and demonstrate how to transform images into works of art.

 IMAGE USAGE

All images taken can be used in your portfolio only (website and online). Images must not be submitted to magazines, exhibitions or competitions without permission. Images must not be used for commercial purposes and to advertise photo shoots, workshops or products. 

CANCELLATION

If you need to cancel your workshop you can choose to receive a credit towards future workshops or 1-on-1 mentoring. Workshop deposit is non-refundable.

 TRAVEL AND LODGING

Attendees are responsible for their own lodging and travel to and from the workshop. After registering, we will provide recommended travel information.
